Guys need some expert opinion on this.

I am stuck at 470. Occupation is marketing executive. Ielts is expiring on Aug 18,2020. Since there's no FSW draw happening as per trend, would you please guide me should
1- I apply for PNP if YES then what's the procedure? or
2-Wait for the FSW draw in near future?
As @ZAtoCD said do both at the same time. I don't have a lot of info regarding PNP but check out the new rural and northern immigration pilot. In this pilot communities does require a full time job offer but it is LMIA exempt. So you might be eligible. Here is a link:

'some buffoons' as opposed to you whose some sort of brilliant immigrant genius? Obviously you come from a culture which likes to shame people because of their jobs. And why shouldn't a restaurant server qualify?
totally agreed, respect others. we are all professionals no matter what the occupation is.

Guys I need guidance with regards to PNP as me and my husband have failed to understand the requirements of being eligible for the PNP category. We r in the express entry pool with crs 476 but want to pursue the PNP thing. Both of us are dentists in Pakistan. Kindly guide us how to apply for it.

I disagree - we had a long bull run and that overvalued businesses. However, it would have been a correction in market valuation, not a recession. COVID did bring the correction upon us sooner, but it brought about more than a correction. That is why the next bull run will pick up fairly sooner.

Additionally, big companies will have to get bailed out because they are crucial to the economy and aid in employment. Rich people did not get richer from stocks, people who hedged their positions did.

In my opinion, the Canadian government will not be the one spurring the speedy recovery, it will be the Canadian consumer. As consumption is highly restricted now, economy is in a spiral. Once consumption picks up, employment numbers will go up, GDP will go up, investor confidence will go up and we will be on an upward trajectory again.

The biggest caveat is that they find a way to keep the virus numbers under control and instill confidence in people to go to work and go out.
Couldn't have said it better myself - people are looking at stats without analyzing the underlying factor of what causes the event.

The fiscal response by central banks happened a lot sooner than in 2008 aswell, so that will help weather the short term impact. (it might lead to an inflationary scenario in the mid/long term, guess we'll see)

A systemic failure vs a forced drop in demand are two different things. The drop in oil will probably be Canada's biggest hurdle going forward.

What tragic man I am!

I was behind Australian PR for 6 years and the points score just went up and up just infront of my eyes, i was always 5 or 10 points behind.

Now that I decided to pursue Canadian PR i got each and everything sorted. Finally got through WES in these critical time and entered the pool on April 1st, Baaaanggg! From the very next round its only for Canadian experience class!!!
I am again in the limbo!
There is seriously something wrong with this world and me!!

Fingers crossed and hoping for the best as always!

I am standing at 478, I had this score since February, however I decided to not include my higher IELTS score and opt for the older one while waiting for my wife's exam. Thus, missing the 4th of March draw. I changed my score back to 478 one week ago, however, with CEC draws, and me losing points for age in November, plus people who says that the whole immigration program might be suspended. I started to feel stupid because I missed my chance. If FSW draws are not coming in the next few months, I will never forgive myself!

I really don’t know how much difficulties these has put everyone and having a feeling of the near success syndrome can be depressing but that is life for us and we only have to try not to give up on ourselves. I feel your pains and hope that luck finds you.

There is definitely something seriously wrong with the world right now but it has nothing to do with you. The life as we know has been disrupted for every person on this planet.

You have worked hard and to best of your ability. You have everything you need. Just keep your chin up and wait for this thing to tide over. You will be fine!

Hi Folks,
I got an ITA today under the CEC category but I got a question. My Canadian Experience is only 2 years & 6 months, and it ended on Nov 25, 2019. Now I'm working from India for the same company, so it will be counted as an Indian experience. My CRS score was 459 2 weeks ago, but today I got an ITA, and surprisingly my score is 470. No idea what caused an increment in my score. If I would have continued to work in Canada I will reach 3-year experience on may 25, 2020 but I left Canada 6 months before that. It seems like the express entry system rounded my experience to 3 years. I have updated my profile with these changes soon after I left Canada. Any idea what's happening?
