Hi All,

Waited for 22 months and today got an email for remedicals.... they say need to do it within 30 days....

With the lockdown everywhere getting a remeds has surprised me too!!

What should i do?

Another question will they even send a ppr after remeds?
Also with lockdown will i be able to travel? What time do they give to land in canada

Has anybody got a remeds in this lockdown phase

Dont know should i be happy or sad with a remed request...

@sid1987 keep getting mails that ircc is issuing invitations even now...


A second Express Entry draw took place on Thursday, April 9, where a total of 3,294 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence were issued to Canadian Experience Class candidates with ranking scores of 464 and above.

This rare second draw within the same day saw the lowest minimum CRS score requirement since October 2019.

So if all goes well aftee ppr u cannot travel right now.. canada is only allowing ppr before 18 march... now don be sad rules change every 2 days dependin upon curve.. so noone can predict

Yooo the draw these guys are doin is done by computer .. so single button click... but yeaaa officers are not available right now in old numbers..hopin things change soon

Just drop a mail sayin and they know due to covid things are disrupted

If panel physicians are not available in next 30 days then there is no option but to postpone the medicals. You can send them an email / CSE and let them know you can't get medicals done because of lockdown. They will understand.

Generally a re-medical is a good thing. It may suggest that someone did look at your file recently. In normal scenario re-medical is followed by PPR in many cases. Given the situation it is difficult to say what will happen.

buddy remeds are no sure shot indication of ppr, did it last year still nothing. My remeds are due in May, let’s see if they ask me again.

Yes you should bro, the remeds are usually time bound.

Dear Abhinav,



Thank you for your e-mail.



In light of the recent travel restrictions for non-Canadian travellers, deadlines for all visa application related procedures, including requests for additional submissions, have been waived until further notice. Applicants will not have their application refused solely on the basis of not completing these requests or completing next steps during the COVID-19 travel restrictions period.



Examples of the next steps include:



· submitting a passport after receiving a passport request letter

· Submitting supporting documents, such as a police certificate

· completing an immigration medical examination

· completing biometrics enrollment at the Visa Application Centre



IMPORTANT: If you have received a letter from our office requesting additional documents, please note that we are currently not accepting these documents due to limited operations. Once full operations resume, you will be contacted with further instructions and provided with an opportunity to respond to the request letter.



Biometric instruction letters (BIL) issued anytime on or after March 17th 2020 will still stipulate a 30-day period to comply; however, applicants will have 90 days to provide biometrics. You will not need a new BIL.



As this extension will be granted automatically, please do not contact the visa office to request an extension. Due to the large volume of inquiries, we are replying to urgent cases only. We will not send you an updated request letter.
