Hello,
I am writing regarding a mistake I made during the panic stages of COVID-19, I applied for my EI as my employer said they are going to lay off some of the employees. However, in a few days I got a call that I’m not eligible for EI. I tried contacting the EI helpline but due to the busy lines, no one is picking up the calls.
Yesterday, I recieved the benefit and I am afraid they might take some action. I really want to inform that I don’t need these benefits and I’m currently working. I tried calling CRA as well but no one picks up.
Is there any other way I can inform them other than the helpline number? Your help will be highly appreciated.
