Hello People
As per my passport, my given name is 'Ryan Mohsain' and Surname is 'Shirazi'

While doing my wire transfer for GIC to Scotiabank, my bank entered the beneficiary name as Ryan MohsainShirazi. They said that they did not add a space as a letter of my surname would get cut out.
Scotiabanks states that beneficiary first name and last name should be exactly as per passport. I am concerned that this will be interpreted as my first name being Ryan and surname being MohsainShirazi

Should it have ideally been RyanMohsain Shirazi? Even when I login on Scotiabank Email, the name is RyanMohsain Shirazi. Will my GIC get declined? Is there anyway I can email/contact Scotiabank to rectify this issue, or now my only option is to send the money again once it's declined.

Thanks & Regards,
Ryan

Hi, thank you for your reply

The name in my Scotiabank account is correct. It is - RyanMohsain Shirazi.
While doing my wire transfer, the beneficiary name was entered as - Ryan MohsainShirazi.

I have sent a mail to 'newaccountsonline@scotiabank.com' regarding this from my personal Gmail ID as I could not find any option to send a mail from the Scotiabank Secure Email Account. The customer care executive told me to do this and said it might or might not help.

Anyway, in case my GIC is declined and when I resend the wire transfer - Should I enter beneficiary name as RyanMohsain Shirazi (Without spaces) or Ryan Mohsain Shirazi (With Spaces) - will a space between first name and middle name matter? Because according to my passport its with spaces but in the Scotiabank account created is without spaces.

Also regarding the address - My passport address and Bank account address are the same. However while sending maybe due to space constraints there are minimal differences which come up like RD and ROAD. Also I noticed my banker didn't enter the state name (Maharashtra) in the beneficiary address. Will small things like this matter?

I know these might be a stupid questions but I really want to get done with this because each time it gets declined, I lose money while re sending.

Thank you for your help, time and patience.

Hey Buddy,
Happy to inform that I got my GIC confirmation letter on 8th April, within 5 days of my wire transfer.

Just FYI, I had sent a correction message from my bank and an email from my personal ID. But not sure if any of those made a difference.

Thanks for your Help!
