Linking application to the online account

Hi everyone,
I found that linking the application to the online account can be a bit difficult for some people. This is a successful way to link your application to your account at least it worked for some people. I found it somewhere here and have just summerized it. I hope it works for you!

When you try to link your account follow these steps:

• Use application number and Family name
• Passport details (number, issuing and expiry dates)
• Number of applicants (including the sponsor, main applicant and children if any in the application)
• Where the applicant intend to live in Canada (your answer should match same as in the application)

The answer is in your application I'm not sure which forum. Try your Canadian spouse address

And how long after sending my application will I be able to link it?

I think immediately after IRCC sends you the application number and instructions to the online checking tool. But I'm not pretty sure
