The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) may be able to issue an updated work permit support letter if the change in position is with the same employer that supported your nomination and the new position is a promotion or a lateral move with increased pay or responsibility.
To process your request for an updated work permit support letter, please provide the following information and documentation:
• A copy of the updated job offer signed by you and your employer, which meets the following requirements:
o Printed on business letterhead and includes business address, telephone/fax numbers, email, and website addresses;
o Indicates the name of the responsible officer/supervisor and includes their signature;
o Stamped with the corporate seal (if applicable); AND
o Indicates the following:
Job title
National Occupation Classification code
Wage offered for the position
Duties and responsibilities
Number of hours of work per week
Number of days/weeks of vacation
Workplace location
Employment start date
An indication that the offer being made is for a full-time position of an indeterminate duration
• Scanned copy of your current work permit
• Copies of your two most recent pay slips
Please allow up to two weeks for the OINP to process this request.
