That's what I was wondering about as well. Even if we get ITAs now, and the travel ban is lifted later this year, we'd be moving at a time when people who already had jobs in Canada were competing to get them back. So, it'd be even more job market competition than before corona. And winter approaching.
yes it makes sense that priority will be given to inland Canadians especially who were laid off temporarily.

BTW what if the impact last as long as 2008 recession ?

It depends on the numbers of applicants who are above your score. It isn’t a bad score anyways. The IRCC are working hard to be more unpredictable than ever so we will wait and see what surprises they have for us next
Is there any chance for 465 in the next 2 draws?
4 month waiting in the pool

If your current employer has an office there, better to ask them for a job before landing.
Not applicable in my case, unfortunately. I'll be starting all over again. Worth the risk though.

I hope not! At least Canada's economy was doing really well before this. Hopefully it recovers quickly.

Do you mean there wont be a FSW draw?or you have data-driven reasons?
No one here knows the answer to score-based questions. Only IRCC knows what they're doing. The best you can do is check the score history here, and see when last there was a draw with a score close to yours, and how often those have happened in the past.

I think that there will be no FSW draws for a while until the current situation gets better because the last CEC only draw was five years ago and they did another one now. Even if they did a regular draw with 3900 invites, cutoff should be around 473 as no FSW candidates got invited in the last 4 weeks (5 weeks if the next draw happens on April 8th). You might have a chance if a FSW only draw happens but I don't think that will happen ever.

The only reason I can think of for FSW candidates to get invited now is that the IRCC prefers to invite high scoring candidates, lets see what happens in the coming draws.

Your scope of analysis is quite narrow .
you forgot to include a lot of parameters ; you can’t just think without being rational. in fact, you are right

I might be right. Why do a CEC only draw now and lower the cut-off when it was already very high since 5 months? Makes no sense. They might do a FSW only draw next to give chance to low scorers because many of these high scoring idiots keep declining ITA's for the most idiotic reasons and the low scoring candidates know that they might not get this chance again and do their best submit a complete application.

I have read in some Facebook groups that some people with high scores declined ITA's because they messed up their eAPR profiles and didn't have some sense to do proper research first and learn how to submit an application, f*** these stupid f*****s.

So just a thought here but maybe CEC is seeing some priority at the moment given the fixation with Canadian experience By employers and the fact despite what politicians might like to push the world is heading for a recession so CEC applicants might be seen as a better option for recovering the economy now. Just a thought.

Absolute garbage. CRS 492 cut off doesn't make any statistical sense. On IRCC website, candidates with 491 and above were less than 1000 as at 13th of March and many of them received ITA in the last two draws. By implication, over 3000 candidates with 492 and above entered the pool within 10days? Hell no!

Ignore the report, it's garbage.
