Thanks for your quick response. I am a registered Nurse. I have over 2 years 4 months experience in Jamaica. Ielt overall score is band 7 and I'm divorcedI no longer live there. However, for housing you can look in the Huron area/Strasburg Rd. You might have to take 2 buses but the rent might not be too expensive. Also google maps any place you find and it will tell you how long transportation will take.
PR after a 1 year program depends on a lot of factors. Will you have enough points for an ITA? It all depends on your age as well as skilled worker experience from Jamaica. What persons have been ding is moving to other Provinces to get a Provincial Nomination because Ontario's nomination for international students doesnt open often. A PN gives an extra 600 points so it would be beneficical.
Its the speciality that they offered. okay thanksI'm not being nosy. I'm just wondering if there was a specific reason you chose Conestoga. @Yaadgyrl chose Okanagan which is good because British Columbia has a good nomination program which gives extra points for persons who attend school there. And by no means am I saying you made a wrong choice- its just that if you're only doing a year you will only have a 1 year PGWP and you might have to end up moving to another province to "Sort yuhself out"
Im planning to go Alberta. My current CSR score is 353I'm not being nosy. should I get PWP in alberta?@sasasearles ....YOU GO GIRL! MOVING TO ALBERTA/BC/SASKATCHEWAN/MANITOBA WOULD BE GOOD AS THOSE PROVINCES HAVE GOOD PROVINCIAL PROGRAMS AT THIS TIME. Just map out the places you find. Just avoid downtown Kitchener as its full of "Stockies"
