How can i get that viza RTD
THANK YOU
You must already be in Canada and be a refugee claimant whose application has been accepted. Unfortunately you do not qualify.

So they have the application but didn't run it yet, im expecting something in april. this virus stopped some stuff from being processed, but people are still getting emails, and PCC requests etc, so agents are working on the files just no interview and refugee claims etc

I just got my RTD back on friday from US embassy by mail, 10 year multiple too btw, and yeah lol used a random hotel address.

they check if you have stuff binding you to canada, like job/school, they like account statements to show you have funds, and honesty; like i had no reason to be in the US other than shop sight see etc. and said that and it's valid reason.

Oh very important: if you have a master's in any type of science that's considered to be used for dangerous stuff they will do extra check on you called Visa Mantis check, and takes 30 days, and your resume is sent to DC to get a security opinion on you, so that's why mine took a while.... so stay stupid my friends and they will give you no hassle hahah
I am studying college in Canada and my income is student grants, bursaries and family. I have some savings in my bank account. There is question about my income and who is paying my expenses during my visit in USA. Should I put myself as my financial resource in the form while I am unemployed and student? Also how late they are giving the appointment date? I am afraid of filling the form now due to virus but, if they are giving the appointment date late, it is more make sense that getting appointment and filling the form now as I can change the appointment date later if situation gets worse.

you can complete your application now just so you get it out the way.
there are no appointments now, all consulates are shut down.
the fact that you don't have savings will be tough, can you show your getting a monthly salary at least? any form of income or savings is ok, doens't have to be savings, but it does have to show you're getting monthly payments at least. Yes put yourself, and if you could (i'm assuming your under 25) you parents or something too. the more bank statements and letter of support the better.

i took bank statements and VO didn't even look at it, to be honest he just saw my passport, and notice of decision, and then my travel history to the US (like overstaying, if i applied asu=ylum there etc (which i didnt).

it's good your a student, take a copy of your transcript.

I'm Pakistani, PR application 69% complete, applied for RTD last month. 30 days will be completed on March 30th. I'm studying in University of Toronto. Undergrad.

What kind of bank statement do they see? I have lots of funds coming in. Around 2 or 3000 every month but I usually pay bills etc and don't have any savings. Will I get Visa? I have travelled to UK before. I have family here in Canada as well. What do you guys think? Also, does it make sense to apply for visa with the borders closed and Covid issue?
yes for sure. Your under grad study is the main tie to canada and you will get the visa for sure. Regarding the funds they dont ask for a bank statement. i am not sure that US embassy is still conducting interviews in COVID-19 or not as all the non essential travel to US is banned till further orders. even we cant tray right now with a valid visa.

been more than 3 months no Acknowledgment, timelines are getting out of hand i guess it'll be ages without PR; cause of COVID and CPC being slow

Don’t believe US embassy is doing visa interviews during covid.

Anyone has experience after receiving passport from
Back home which is still valid can we use the us valid visa issued on RTD with national passport or we need to apply again on national passport. Secondly after receiving national passport you can’t renew RTD as they ask you about the passport if you don’t have them they renew. So wot can be the scenario. Anyone had any experience please share .

It not that you aren’t allowed, it just an exceptionally bad idea to use it and even worse to renew it. Doing so sets you up to have travails your self and can lead to your refugee status being revoked.

just a question like if it is not an issue so why they send it back? and there are many conventional refugees who are affected by certain groups so in that case too it can be a trouble for them if they travel using home country passport? like many countries won't accept RTD so they even can't use it there?

It’s a mystery. They give u passport and then u can’t renew RTD based on ur having a valid travel document . If can’t use why they give it back. I asked the officer he said ur still citizen u can use ur passport anywhere in the world not your home country. While the general rules says u can’t use or renew. BIG CONFusion
