News Release...March 20, 2020—Ottawa—

Exemptions to the air travel restrictions will apply to foreign nationals who have already committed to working, studying or making Canada their home, and travel by these individuals will be considered essential travel for land border restrictions. These exceptions include

"permanent resident applicants who had been approved for permanent residence before the travel restrictions were announced on March 16, 2020, but who had not yet travelled to Canada"

In addition to health screening protocols before travel, all individuals entering from abroad must isolate for 14 days upon their arrival in Canada.

Based on this, flagpoling should not be a problem...Or you'll definitely get phone landing interview

Thanks for sharing, I am little confused, they mentioned that "COPR folks who are yet to travel to Canada" - so inland folks who are already in Canada doesn't fall under this, isn't it ?

I could be wrong, but wanted to see other's perspective.

@legalfalcon hello, is the medicals expiry date one year after the actual physical examination by the doctor (in my case 19 august) or one year after the "medicals passed" on mycic (in my case 30 september). Thank you

1 year from the date panelist submitted your results to cic which will be closer to the date went for medical check . Not the medical exam approval date by CIC.

Guys, I received my PR Card on Mar 18 and my wife and kid got it on Mar 17. I initially thought that my card is lost.. but then it is totally normal to receive cards separately for family members.
My application was approved on Mar 13.

It is form the date your medical report is generated by your panel physician, which is also usually the date when it is transmitted to IRCC.

my aor september 26th, I had a ghost update on march 13th so I thought this is it, PPR is coming... but nothing so far... did anyone outland received PPR after March 15th, did they stop issuing PPR this month ? ... We had a bit of hope and now coronavirus make it more and more difficult..

Same thing happened with me this week. I got a ghost update on Monday and after that nothing. I think you are right. Maybe they are not issuing any ppr for now.

Yes, I did flagpole at Coutts / Montana border. I would say it was the quickest and much smoother. If you are in Alberta, thats where you should go. Let me know if you need more info.

@senhari2005 yes the wordings are a bit tricky but hopefully it will be clear once they have the official announcements next week.
