X] You are not a person described in Immigration Legislation who can apply for this type of document from within Canada. An application of this type must be made at a Canadian Visa office in another country.

Reason listed as to why I was denied an open work permit. This isn't the first one I've applied for as my previous one was accepted, yet my application to extend it was denied. Is the reason listed saying that I would have to apply again from Australia (Original country of Origin) or is it better to try and apply again from within Canada (Being the country I am currently living in)

Note, have not take any language tests as it wasn't necessary for IEC with that being the way I first came in and first started working. Is it possible to apply again for IEC while within Canada or would I be better off taking an english language test and trying to enter through Express Entry.

So by country of origin are you an Australian citizen ?

An IEC WHV is a one time opportunity although a second participation can be through the International Coop category. There is no requirement listed on the IRCC site tht I can see for an applicant to be in Australia to apply for the latter.

You say refused an open work permit was this an attempt for a second IEC or a permit supported by an employer sponsored LMIA ?

For the long term then why not follow through on a PR application if you qualify and can get to 470 plus points. Or if you have qualifying Canadian work experience the Canadian Experience program

You don't qualify for an open work permit and you cannot extend your IEC.

You have used up your one Working Holida Visa participation - so you don't qualify for another one of these. You can apply for an International Co-Op visa (also under IEC) - however qualifying for this requires that the work you plan to do in Canada is part of an education program you are taking in your home country.

The open work permit ? how does that work actually . Did you secure job in Canada before you apply?
