My wife is PR Holder and i am a canadian citizen. I have a child who is canadian citzen as well. I do not work with any type of government sector within canada or abroad.
If we decide to live abroad. Can she claim those days towards her residency in canada?

Depends on the situation and how long you have spent together as PRs in Canada.

Are you as the citizen moving abroad for work and your PR wife is accompanying you ? And as above the answer can be influenced on how long your wife has been a PR.

No it depends on the situationl
Why? Did you see he said he's a Canadian citizen not a PR? Cause your first post you said it depends on how long they lived together as PRs in Canada. I have been granted a 2 year multiple entry travel document on this basis myself, living abroad with Canadian spouse to satisfy residency requirements.

They have started cracking down on issues of who is accompanying whom and whether the PR ever had any connections to Canada or they essentially landed and then continue renewing their PR for life based on living abroad with their spouse. CIC has become much more strict and you are now required to provide lots of proof that you will be relocating to Canada once you sponsor a spouse and you are both living abroad. To many people were getting PR for their spouses but never returned to live in Canada.

Interesting, thanks for the information. I'll have to research this as it is very applicable to my situation.

You may be grandfathered in but there were too many never establishing themselves in Canada after getting PR so there is a crackdown.
