I'm hoping it's just a delay and that they haven't decide not to issue one to me. So far I haven't seen any cooks without a job offer get a noiAs you do not have job offer may b That is the reason why they are delaying the process to issue NOI
NOC 2232 and EE profile is not required to apply under AOS.What is your NOC and CRS?
I don't have LMIA, I'm on my Young professional visa. The LMIA process is not convenient for employers and they have to pay fee 1000CAD. I heard about one restaurant here in Jasper (Something Else restaurant) who sponsors for LMIA not sure if it's true though.Where in Jasper do you work? Before nomination. For me this was immediately before (as in <30 minutes). But as has been said, they don’t necessarily contact. When does Alberta contact our employers... before issuing the NOI or before nomination?
It sounds a bit extreme to me... day to day life goes on fine in Alberta. But natural resources are huge part of the overall economy and I understand have never really recovered over past 10 years. I doubt you’ll get a job in that sector as an immigrant (in fact a lot of related NOCs are on excluded list on AINP website). But they’re definitely looking for immigrants in other sectors.I was told the same thing by an immigration consultant company regarding the O&G business going down. He said that Alberta economy is extremely poor and housing prices have doomed and due to this the creation of jobs look negative. In addition, he stated that if Alberta draws happen in the future, the processing time would be close to a year because Alberta doesn't require immigration at least in the near future. I don't know how true this is.
That’s a great restaurant!I don't have LMIA, I'm on my Young professional visa. The LMIA process is not convenient for employers and they have to pay fee 1000CAD. I heard about one restaurant here in Jasper (Something Else restaurant) who sponsors for LMIA not sure if it's true though.
No they don’t. Probably a computer algorithm issues the NOIs. They assume what you’ve said is true. They confirm this during the review of your application after NOI. And then confirm everything again and some more things during PR process at federal level. What I mean to say is whether Alberta contacts employer before issuing the NOI?
No it doesn’t. And it doesn’t seem like there’s a queue with AINP compared with standard federal ITAs, which have a tie-break date. My guess is they have a list of NOCs (according to demand etc) and allocate a certain number of people to each, first prioritizing those with connections (and particularly job offer). But this is just speculation. Given the purpose of AINP is to get people to live in Alberta long term and contribute to the province’s prosperity, this makes sense.Does anyone know if updating your express entry profile puts you further back in the ainp line? I created my profile in November. But changed the name of the company in my work history last week
Interesting. I thought you had a valid job offer though?I don't have LMIA, I'm on my Young professional visa. The LMIA process is not convenient for employers and they have to pay fee 1000CAD. No update today..weird after seeing your turnaround time hah. Boss replied last night. Staying patient with it as much as possible..thought i was going to get it in the am.Before nomination. Hope it comes through for you soon, especially before next Wed. Maybe they’ve also contacted someone else like old employer? Or might be that the officer working on your file works less-than-full-time and doesn’t work Thursdays? Nobody knows! So much uncertainty! No update today..weird after seeing your turnaround time hah.
