Biometrics Fee - CIC wrongly asking for one more

The application is a BC PNP for myself and my common law partner as dependent. I did my biometrics at the border when getting my PGWP. When submitting the application with the fee we paid 2 $1,040 and one biometrics fee. Now I received the request to pay biometrics one more time. Anyone has any idea what to do in this case? Should I contact IRCC? I was thinking about contacting them but the letter requesting the fee by Apr 10th and I'm worried they wont reply within a month.

They are correctly asking you for it again.

Biometrics for temporary permits (OWPs, PGWPs) only count for temporary permits. If you are applying for a PR (BC PNP) you need to do them again.

Be happy they asked you for the fee and didn't return the application for lack of fees.
