Guys i am working overseas right now. I just got my letter of acceptance for Masters for Fall intake. I plan to resign from my job and come to Pakistan in May to start my visa application. My question is that can i apply through SDS as i have been living abroad since past few years or i will have to apply through the normal study permit ? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you
Yes, you can apply through SDS if you are a citizen of Pakistan and currently living in Pakistan.

Considering you are living abroad since last few years and will be resigning to come back to Pakistan and submit your visa application, you will have to be extra careful to demonstrate your strong ties to Pakistan. This is one of the most common reason for the visa rejection.

Which country are you living in right now? Have you checked for the processing times for that country? What about your employment prospects post graduation? Have you talked to your employer yet? If they may issue you an offer letter to join their company back post graduation, this will boost your chances of getting the visa.

Also, don't forget to get the Police Clearance Certificate before leaving the country.

Hi, guys I am little bit confused about SDS vs non SDS . is it only effect on processing time ??? or is it also effect on visa ratio
SDS is an effort by the ministry of immigration in Canada to increase the diversification of international students since currently around more than 50% of the total international students are from China and India, whereas the total number of Pakistani students in Canada stands stagnant at 4000 since last 4 years. Such programs have been introduced in other countries as well such as Philippines where the increase in the study permits has been more than 50%.

With upfront proof of financial resources, your case becomes strong and the visa ratio turns out higher.

Actually my parents are also not filer. Thats the problem. If i start the process to become a filer still it will take a lot of time. I heard some guys sent the GIC without being filer
Becoming a filler is not a time taking process if you have a proven source of income and have paid taxes. Once, either you (preferably) or any one of your parents will become a filler, that will make it a lot easier for you to open a FCY account and wire transfer funds to your Canadian bank account for GIC.

Also, please note, that the restrictions across GIC impose additional comfort to the VO that the funds are acquired lawfully and you are the law abiding citizen.

Even, if you are able to find out one or two bank branches who are ready to do it so, my advice would be not to do it.

Since you are living abroad, have you checked with the banks in your country of residency yet?

Any masters student here?

My wife secured admission in MEd. University is asking for official documents.

Should we send from HEC or from last university AIOU?

Thanks

She got offers from Lakehead and TRU so far. We are waiting on UBC. I have visited PU and AIOU. They said it will take a day to verify copy, seal and post and that's what universities need. They don't accept HEC.

That's great you go offer in PHD. We tried but her last MEd didn't have thesis.

I thought summer intake was way less than fall intake
Yes no doubt fall intake is a big intake but summer intake is also a major intake and large number of students apply for summer intake than in winter.I have also applied for summer intake on 23 january and am still waiting for response.
