Again, the advice is much appreciated. Have read the threads of previous months and noted the varying time-frames. Still needed to call to ensure my package was delivered. This was based on a previous experience with FedEx. Now that I know it has been received, my nerves will not be frayed. Again. Thanks.
I didn't mean this to be directed at you, and apologise if it seemed this way. More a general statement in this thread that the expectations for rapid processing seem overly high - and bound for disappointment.

When you log into Ecas your AOR1 date is the first line or sentence. The sponsor gets that email. Have them check their spam etc.

That’s why I am confused because I am the sponsor- it says they received the application February 20th and it’s in progress. I haven’t received any emails in any folder, I’ve been neurotically checking ever since the package was delivered hahaha. Oh well!

Ok and when did you get the Bio Request? Have you linked to GCkey? The AOR email is not that important to be honest. Its also on GCKey. Check if they have your email correct by calling CIC or double check if there is a typo on the application if you have copies.

My representative said it may take 45-60 days to get AOR1 but as I see in the forum most ppl get AOR within 10-15 days.
my application was sent to Sydney on 14th feb delivered on 17th no updates yet but here in the forum 17th feb applicant got AOR1.
As we can’t assume anything better to think positive n wait.
Yes thats true, all immigration consultant says that its about 1-2mos because they want you to don’t expect the unexpected. Because it depends to the person who handle your application.. sometimes they are fast, sometimes maybe they are too tired to open any application within a day..

It actually was a request to PAY biometrics, I just saw the email subject and got overexcited haha. I haven't linked to GCKey yet as I am at work and haven't had a change, but I'll double check once I'm off and then try and link it through there. Thanks for all your help!

So im in a panic mode right now - my wife had applied for her TRV and did an upfront medical exam in december. We applied for the spousal application on Feb 6 and recieved SA Bio and then medical request. I had sent the emedical sheet from the upfront medical exam with the paper application in feb as well and also indicated on the document checklist that we have already done the medical. But we still got a medical request. Wife contacted the same lab for appointment and they are basically saying that they cannot do another medical since one upfront has already been performed. Apparently its some sort of procedure they have - unless CIC directs them again in an issued statement they wont do it.

I have sent in a webform this week but now im waiting - hopefully this gets resolved. My question is, we have 30 day time limit for the medical. Its been 10 days now and my wife also got a " We need something from you to continue processing your application " message from CIC. Hopefully the webform they recieved will be looked at within the 30 days and not mess up our application? Kind of stressed now.

Hello everyone,
I am in a weird situation and looking for some information that might help me, so your advice and knowledge would be extremely helpful.
My husband and I filled in and sent the application package for OUTLAND sponsorship when I was visiting him in Canada in February 2020. I listed my address in China, because I have a legal work contract and was meant to return to china to complete my labour obligations. However, because coronavirus outbreak, I got stuck in Canada (on tourist visa) with my husband until an unknown period of time.
I am worried about my correspondence, will their MAIL me all the letters (biometric request and etc) to China or their will send me an E-MAIL? Can I change my mail address to a Canadian address, if my application was OUTLAND? and can I give my biometrics in Canada?
or should it change the address to for example an US address and fly to USA to give biometrics?
Thank you

If you have not yet linked your application then you should do that first. That way all the communication with you will happen over there and you need not worry about missing any mails. Secondly, if you know that for next 3-6 months you will not be going to China and you can get biometrics and Medical in USA then it makes sense to change the address to USA. But I'm not sure how would you go about doing it.

Once your application is received at Sydney and the Sponsor received an email of acknowledgement the you can make an account on IRCC website and link your application with this account. That way, all communication will happen over that account and you will receive emails regarding all updates in your application.

I haven't received an e-mail from them yet. They received my application set on 17 Feb.
Is it the same application for me as the applicant and for my husband as the sponsor?
So, should I worry now about changing my address in China? also, if there will be my Chinese address, does it mean that I have to give biometrics there, or I can do it in any country?
Thanks a lot!
