Applying second time to canada

Hello all, I went to Canada from pakistan to study for 2 semesters in 2018 fall
I came back after 2 semesters (the duration of my visa initially) because of some family matter. Now i want to go back in another program. Do i need to apply for extension of study permit Or do I need to apply for a new visa. My old visa was for 6 months, which was also the duration of my course. I came back after that.
Also if i have to reapply, does this have any negative effect on the application.

Why would it be low ? There is no reason , you came back for family reasons.
