Any update on ur status? Mine is still under processing at hci. I called hci, they told apparently they cannot share status due to security reasons. Not sure why they cant share information about my file to me.

I just applied for passport renewal to BLS ottawa yesterday. It looks like the processing time is about 2 months.

You cannot apply in Toronto if you are under ottawa judicial

I have applied for my renewal on 29th Jan from Montreal to HCI Ottawa, but still in BLS the status says processing at hci even after 3 weeks. Anyone can help with ottawa timeline.
Also, in embassy where we fill the online form a file number is generated. Does it mean its processed or its just an acknowledgement.

January 8, 2020 – Document emailed to BLS

January 10, 2020 – Processing at Consulate General

January 21, 2020 – Status changed to In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre

January 22, 2020 – Item ready to dispatch

January 22, 2020 – Item dispatched (with tracking number)

Hi all,

I am applying for my passport renewal now as it expired in mar2020 just before lockdown. The only option I have now is through the mailing service.

Now, in the checklist, it is mentioned that they need photocopies and original PR card and Driver's license.

But in some thread here its mentioned that they don't keep it in walkins. So need to confirm what to send.

Also, do I need my wife's original passport as she traveled and strucked in India due to lockdown,

How many passport-sized pictures do they need?

How to pay them, if by demand draft, do they need two separate drafts?
