Update: Employer Job Offer: International Student and Foreign Worker Streams
The OINP received 1322 successful registrations during the March 3rd opening of the Employer Job Offer: International Student and Foreign Worker streams.

Individuals who successfully completed registration and received a file number have 14 days to submit an application.

The OINP will continue to monitor intake of applications across all streams to determine when the Employer Job Offer: International Student and Foreign Worker streams will reopen in 2020.

The Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream remains open to applications at this time.

That means there are really successful applicants who got into the stream (good side is that not all who got the file number have complete docs), that is where our chance lies

3 million have come to canda in the past 2 years and Ontario have spilt 2 very popular streams at 1332 that just under 700 each I'm disgusted very ashamed of how canada has put most people into.depression what about our mental health and wellbeing

Hi There,

The whole point of sending an email is to make them aware that this issue was not just with few random people but with most of the users who were trying to get onto the website.

The more the emails the more would be the impact from our side and if they feel like there are too many users complaining about it they will hopefully take some initiative to fix it or reopen it.

The worst-case (just my thoughts) that might happen if they sense that there are voluminous applications for these streams is to require a point-based system just like what other provinces did (Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia). Before these provinces used to do it the same as FWS OINP, but since there are super bulk applications whenever they open the stream, now they are requiring point-based eligibility criteria, which I guess may make chances slimmer.

Still 700 slots more mainly for employees I think. Total for them is 1300+900 in 2018.
But should prepare for plan B

Not at all! I entered the first day that opened and there was not queue. And it was opened almost one month

how did you know if there was queue or not

My perception towards this:

1. May be due to some malicious activity, profiles were created. I don't think so all those 1300 registrations are genuine profiles with job offer.
I am saying this factor looking at the previous year trend as this stream was opened for almost 5 months to reach the limit.
No chance that Ontario could meet the limit within just 30mins.

2. And also since hiring was very slow since Oct 2019 till Feb 2020 due to vacation/holidays celebration. There is no way that many forgein workers would have got the job offer letter during that span.

Looking at the above points, I assume Ontario will definitely reopen the stream sometime soon!

Nevertheless, we all should drop an email addressing Ontario immigration program explaining the technical issues faced while registration.

Agree with this sentiment. It doesn't make sense to me that this many people would be applying for job offer stream alone - the requirements:

- permanent, full time in a decent noc
- 2 years experience
- median or above wage
- $1500/$2000 application fee

Don't seem to me like they'd be that common. I'm hoping it will open sooner rather than later but have already started exploring other options in case.

that's correct.

Which is the reason why everyone is not sure of what happened yesterday.

I'm mind blown right now, my visa expires soon and I have no other option.
