Employer Bankrupcy

Dear All,

I need your guideline and help.

I came to Canada under July on visitor visa. I met employer and he applied for LMIA in September last year. I got my LMIA done. I completed my six month successfully and just apply for EOI. yet to receive LAA.

My current company is almost close down. It has financial issues and legal complication. Employer is not around and company is at standstill.

We have more the 7 foreign workers. Some of them even got LMIA in January 2019 and March 2019 !!

I don't know the way forward. Should I need to report to any authority or wait for official communication from company for closure?
Should I apply for PNP?
What happened to my stay in Canada?
Can I get open work permit if company declare closure?

Please advice.

My friend has a closed work permit. But his company ends into receivership and the new owner is willing to hire my friend. Does the new owner needs another LMIA
