I think the CRS system is too biaed towards Canadian education. There is no such award for say UK new point immigration system. Australia system does award Australian education history, but not that much as Canadian system.

I don't think there would be a draw today. Sorry for my pessimism but I think they will skip this week.
in my opinion its not biased enough. some international students pay up to 100K cad for a 4year degree and while PR is not a right but a priviledge , if anyone deserves it , its them . Imagine contributing so much to the economy and an outland applicant gets PR while you have to go home
It’s their country too, and I think it’s a fair thing to have people who integrate well into their culture and expectations. Someone who studies there would definitely adapt due to their age, interaction with a multicultural society and the time they take in adapting their standards as they graduate from there.
Their system, their rules. But to be fair, it’s only right for international students who have lived in Canada for years to be given a better chance to settle permanently. Can empathise with that as an former US grad student who literally has to wait for probably half a decade more before I can have a chance to get a green card lol
and also always remember, immigration is a privilege, not necessarily a right. and the way most if not all countries immigration system is designed, people who have some links to the country either through relation or education, always have the advantage. always.

Cant agree more to this.. we pay tons of money for schools here to study. Then we pay incredibly amount for taxes here. So obviously preference is given more to people who study and work here.
I really hope we do have a draw today but as every minute passes by it looks hugely unlikely
As an international student finished 4 yrs university in engineering, I do believe we deserve more points considering our contribution to tuition & tax to the country. But one thing I feel making no sense is that people holding 2 college certs, which can be done online or taking only 1 year to complete, are ranking higher then a 4 years university diploma holder. Can you imagine how much effort & money an UofT student put in? And they are ranking lower...
for me personally, I don't think so. But going by precedence, we still have sometime before all hope is lost. But for me personally, I have erased the thought.
Yes. I have seen a lot of draws published in this 30 minute interval. So be patient. There’s a good chance.
