For my Citizenship application I have translated police certificate and birth certificate using a certified translator. I sent my application one months ago. Now I heard from friends that this translator is black listed by CIC due to suspicious unprofessional translation and most application using this translator will get their application taking too long. I really start to worry. Do you have some experience in this issue. Please your feedback is highly appreciated.

AoR takes months, 3-4 months often. Try not to worry before then.

Also, AoR is just do you have documents and everything signed etc. They're not going to reject AoR due to a dodgy translator, however if you have concerns get them re-done because they could ask for copies from a not blacklisted translator if that is the case - but they'd do that once your application goes In Process.

Why did you send your birth certificate? It's not a valid proof of ID as it lacks a photo?

Thank you for your reply I appreciate it.
The birth certificate was for my daughter. Sorry I didn’t make it clear.
