My grades for O Level are ( A,B,C,C,C,C,C,C ) and for A Levels ( D, D, D ). My subjects for A Levels were CS, ICT & Physics furthermore for O level they were Physics, Chemistry, ICT, English & Mathematics. My current GPA is 2.71 but I'm expecting to increase it upto minimum 2.8 by the end of this semester.

Would this be okay ?

2.7 is pretty low what is the total gpa..cause manitoba is on a 4.3 gpa..if you wanna start again from 100l I say it's fantastic..but if you want to start from 200l it might be a bit difficult..

Hey man,

Great to hear from you, I have applied at University of Manitoba two days ago. I cancelled the plan to apply at Alberta.
Yes cause international fees are high added with exchange rate...and Manitoba is like the second cheapest 4yr university granting degree with worth after memorial university..

In my current the total GPA is 4 and out of it my current is 2.7 however I'm expecting it to be around in between 2.85 to 2.95 by the end of current semester ( maybe 3.0 ). I have applied at U o M for an advanced entry.

For math and stats I checked it's about 32394 CAD which according to Indian currency exchange rate is affordable for me thankfully.
Uoft on the other hand has fees about 56000 CAD for the first year and then increasing fees for the other years.

A good choice. Do keep an eye on York University application file for update. I am in York University, though as a domestic student. Let me know if you need any info about the institution.
Hi Man,

I hope you are doing well.

I need a bit of advice from you, I hope you don't mind at all giving one.

So I applied to York University for fall 2020, my chosen programs were BSc Computer Science and BEng Software Engineering however my application was unsuccessful due to some reason ( I have emailed them to get to know the reason about it ).

I contacted the registrar and the lady was very helpful, she requested my application to be reviewed for an alternate program. She informed that they can admit me to BA Information Technology however I'm hesitating as this is BA program. I have asked her if I can be admitted to BA Computer Science instead of IT, still waiting for the response.

I need an advice, if so they give me a offer letter for BA IT or Computer Science should I accept it ? Would the content be same which is of BSc, secondly is the BA degree recognizable in the IT industry ? Is it really worth it, would you recommend me taking the option and leaving BSc behind

By any chance is it possible to get a program transfer after completing atleast 1 year with BA ?

As I have applied as an International Transfer Student ( From another post secondary institution from outside America & Canada ), I was assessed over my GPA, I have told them that currently my semester is going on and I'm expecting to raise my GPA, they have informed me that if I do raise the GPA they might re-visit my application and send an offer for BEng or BSc.

An advice will be highly appreciated.
