Study permit for work permit holder

Hi, I am on closed work permit in canada, my WP clearly states that i can't take admission in any college / institution for study. So do i need to take study permit separately? and once I got the study permit what will be my status, my work permit will be cancelled or i will have both permits at the same time.

You can’t have both permits. You can only take short programs. Likely for self improvement or maybe a short program for continuing education. It must be the whole program not just a course.
