Hello all ,

My parents want to visit me in Canada on trv . I want to make sure that they show strong ties with India which they do . I have the following questions:

1. My father's brother lives in Canada. Should I mention that my parents plan to visit him ? Actually they only plan to visit me and if possible visit him. I live in BC and his brother lives in Alberta .

2. My mother is self employed . She runs her own private tutions. How can I show that she is genuinely returning back and continuing with her tutions ?

3. My grandmother lives with my parents she genuinely needs them and is dependent on them. How should I convey this information to the visa officer via the visa application ?

Looking forward for your reply.

Your call to declare or not. On the TRV form (Imm5257) there is a part called Details of Visit where your parents need to put your name and they can also include your uncle's name. On the Letter of Explanation or cover letter you can also mention that your parent's purpose is to visit you and reconnect with your dad's brother.

Maybe attach contracts to prove that she has pending work that she need to return to after her trip.

There is a Letter of Explanation or what people often call as a cover letter. This is optional, so your call if you want to write one. Through this explain the purpose of visit and whatever you want to say to the Visa Officer.

as for #3 how long of a stay are you asking? If you are asking for a stay of a few months then really the grandmother is not dependent on them.
