Has anyone (inland applicants) given biometrics in Canada service centers?
I know that it's required to make an appointment. But the recent ones are all booked up. The earliest one I can find is on March 13th...

Wow. Your application is processed pretty fast! Congrats on the pre-arrival letter.
This is what I saw from another thread. Hope it can give a reference on the timeline:

File Recieved - April 16,2019

AOR- May 28, 2019

BIL - May 28, 2019

Biometric done - June 01,2019

Medical Request Letter - October 18,2019

ADR- October 22, 2019

Medical passed - October 31, 2019

PAL - November 09,2019

ADR- (Ht & eye color / passport page Principal Applicant)- November 11,2019

DM & PPR- November 14,2019

Passport Submitted - November 18,2019

VISA STAMP & COPR —APPROVED - November 26,2019.

So you might expect to get ADR (Additional document request). IRCC might also order a criminal/background check on you.
Nonetheless, you are almost there!

based on your reply, I assumed that you started the whole PR application in Canada.
Since you applied before Dec 3rd, 2019 and you are inland applicants, you DONT need to give biometrics as per https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...updates/2019-biometric-exemption-removed.html

However, since there is currently no biometric service delivery network within Canada, these applicants are exempt from the biometrics requirement until such time as the public policy is lifted.
...
Starting December 3, 2019, foreign nationals applying from within Canada to extend or renew their visitor visa, work permit or study permit or applying for temporary or permanent residence must provide biometrics.

Moreover, you already got PAL which means they started processing your application.
For us (most of the applicants in this thread) who applied after Dec 3, 2019 will need to give biometrics. And the government won't continue processing until we give the biometrics.

I guess you only need to await a little bit more for now. Good luck!
