Maternity leave and CEC

I started on a company on Ontario on April 2019, I gave birth on July of the same year and went on maternity leave till December (total 6-month maternity), I got paid my maternity benefits from the province, I returned back to work in January, my question is will my maternity leave counts toward my 1-year experience in Canada.
Could anyone answer me based on his/her experience?
