Is a pity that he went through this.. Does it mean he was rejected?
Is it inter racial marriage(both of you are not from the same country)
Is the age difference of you that much?
He is confident he did well and answered all her questions well. In his explanation to me of how things went I do feel that this female officer took some sort of attitude towards our relationship. She did make a point to try to trick him on a few occasions. but he caught her out and corrected her. He did very well, calm, to the point and correct. Her concern was that my family did not attend the wedding (we are overseas and the cost would be very high). Although we have letters and cards from all who could not attend supporting us, our marriage and our relationship. I would say our documents were well in the range of 1,000 pages, 300 page photo album, as I said cards, letters of support and a lot of communication. Yet she kept saying she had an issue with family not being there. His brother was present at our wedding and his brothers and sisters celebrated with us after. She also said he knew too much about me lol... because he answered the questions correctly - that is what we are supposed to do - prepare and go over our questions and answers....She didn't keep the bulk of the evidence we submitted, just kept the current chat communication logs and returned all else.

I am of course now stressed because I want this to be done. I am sick and tired of having to justify that we are a real relationship, and yes I know this is the process.

He is still on way home from interview - officer was rude and mean - continually said we are not real, not genuine, tried to catch him up dates - he did very well with the questions, remained calm and corrected officer on all points....I just feel that it is very invasive, and they out to prove you are guilty and fake. We submitted a great deal of evidence, but at the end of the day, it comes down to this officer who had a bad attitude.
Omg this is really sad

This is really sad idk why some officers are like that, did they return his documents or they kept it?

they kept recent communication - returned photo album with all evidence of wedding engagement honeymoon family etc. and we had another book full of documents that they returned.

It was very tough I must admit, she grilled me for 90 mins.

Asked me everything i could think of and those i never expected. She allowed me express myself.

She has issues with my travel history;implying it could be a marriage of convenience. Asked her if I'm not allowed to travel for tourism prior.

She was asking me to tell her more, asked about her work, her daily routines,my plans when I go over, her hobbies, how she migrated..that's all i can remember at the moment.

She said they'll be in touch soonest,we smiled and i left.

I slept for hours after that interview and I'm relieved after all these months.

Whichever way it goes,it goes. I'm abit confident.
You sounds so positive, i like your confidence. Hopefully you answered all the questions correctly, keep hope alive.
You will rejoice very soon, congrats in advance

When the pressure mounts, even you;you would almost start doubting yourself. It's crazy like that.

Thank you

Is a pity, all i will say is for you guys to stay positive since she didn't said that he is been rejected yet. Something good might still come out of this, it really hurt try to justify yourself over something that you know is real.
This distance really hurts for real, i can testify to that but all hope is not lost.
That's the problem that some of our people caused to us, had it been there is no trace of fake marriage. We will not be passing through all this, i didn't blame the officers much, i blame people that put us to this mess. Don't give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Be positive and keep hope alive

I understand it is the officer's duty to go through the interview process and ask certain questions.
At the end of the day, we are all human beings and deserve some civility and common courtesy.
There is no need to be rude and say I don't believe you - you are a marriage of convenience. You just want to get into another country.
Who does that?
Here in Canada an immigration officer cannot speak to you that way or they would be hauled up on charges.
I am disgusted with how things are run in Accra.
These officers make it seem like a game, and they are playing with people's lives.
They have a bad day so take it out on you.
They don't like the look of you so you must be guilty.
I am proud how my husband dealt with things, but honestly, it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, unfortunately, that is true - some bad people in past have made it harder for those of us who are real.
Thank you for your kind words. I need all your strength and prayers to get through this.

I feel some of this officers tend be be really rude and intimidating and say those stuff but I’m glad your spouse did well and answered them correctly up to a point where the officer said he knows too much about you...just keep the faith and pray.

My husband feels his interview went well. The officer was kind and treated him well. He answered all the questions correctly. She expressed concern about our age difference at one point, but my husband feels he calmed her concerns. At the conclusion she wished him good luck in the future and advised him we would receive an email in our account
Good luck
