Can a minor child be included in the app?

Hi everyone,

Me and my son landed as PR at the same time and will be applying for Citizenship soon most probably this coming July. Now my son who's a minor will go back home end of February and will stay there for more or less 7mos. He stayed for 2 consecutive years within the 5 yrs here in Canada. My question is: can I include him in my Citizenship application even though he will be gone for 7mos?

To qualify for citizenship you need to be in Canada for 1095 days in the last 5 years. If you managed that requirement, minors are calculated as their parent as long as you apply together.

Oh ok. Yea i dnt think I will be out of Canada anytime soon, so definitely 1095 days will be met by the time I apply. So do I have to include his application package to my envelope as well or separate? Thank you!

You send them together. But you required to submit 2 IDs for your kid and one has to have a picture of him. Usually the school record is used and health card.
