For how long can I travel with a Travel document?

Hi,

My wife is a Protected Person. She is waiting for her PR, meanwhile, we want to travel around some countries in the world. She already has her travel document.
My concern is about how long she can be outside Canada traveling with her Travel document. We have planned to travel for 6 months.

1. Is she allowed to stay outside Canada with that Travel Document and then come back without a problem?

She will not be visiting her home country, nor staying more than 90 days permitted in a visited country. She has been waiting in Canada for more than 5 years, that's why she wants to visit other countries.

2. Does she need to get a Visa to visit Europe? Under her home country passport, she doesn't need a visa to visit Europe, but obviously she doesn't have it and would not use her home country passport. She will only use the Travel document.

if you know or have some experience with it. Thanks in advance for any comment.

Make sure to contact both welfare and CRA to put CCB on hold if you will be leaving for 6 months.

- renewable by Mail or we must go to Gatineau physically.
