I am a British citizen wanting to move to Canada with my Boyfriend (future husband) that is currently out of status in America.
My boyfriend went to America in 2015 and overstayed his visitors visa (B1/B2). During that time he got married however, the marriage did not work out and he did not receive a green card. From his marriage he did receive an employment authorization card (EAD) (valid until December 2020) that allows him to work legally as a carpenter for 1.5 years. He is a certified plumber but has not work in that field in the US.
If i want to immigrate to Canada would it be possible to include my Boyfriend (if we get married) in my application even though we are in two different country. I have checked my eligibility and i currently have 530 points.
or would he be able to make an application of his own from the America?
What are the likely possibilities or our options given that he does not want to go back to his home country and wait out the process?
