My relatives will be filing their applications this month after receiving ITA in Jan 2020.
Their passport will be expiring October this year.

Is it ok to submit the renewed passport information later after receiving AOR or is it going to be objected in the initial check or completeness check?

Yes, you can submit the application with the passport, and renew it later. However, after you renew it, send a copy of the passport to IRCC via CSE - webform.
