Hi,
My PR card will expire on Mar-2022.
I did soft landing on Feb-2017 for 5days
Will be face any problem to enter the Canada on 26th-Feb-2020?

I have the plan to maintain 730 days after landing.
Do I need to maintain 730days from the first landing date?
OR
Within the PR expiry date?

If I land on 26th-feb-2020 and apply to renew PR on 26-feb-2022, is it possible?

Canada
The residency obligation is five years from the date of landing, and then any five year period afterwards.

It is theoretically possible to apply for renewal with exactly 730 days of residency, but if often creates more problems than anything - most people would encourage you to have a month or two of "buffer" time.

Thanks.Could you be more clear? Is it from 1st landing?
OR 26feb-2020 on ward?
What if, I have 1 or 2 months short?

730 days in the past 5 years. Depending on how close you are to meeting your RO you may lose your short landing days. You don’t need a valid PR card if you are already in Canada. A valid PR card and having PR status are not related.

I am sorry, I don't understand "May lose your short landing days",what you mean by that?

When counting RO you have to look at the past 5 years. If you arrive in March 2020 the days you accumulated when you landed in Feb 2017 may not count. You will have to calculate based on when you landed and when you move to Canada permanently. Hopefully you don’t work in an industry that requires international travel for work.

I am worried about the risks and problems I face?
If I going to renew my PR card will the charge me of breaching of RO?
Suppose I may not completed 730 days within 16-Feb-2022.

Don't apply for renewal of PR Card unless you complete 730 days in last 5 years from the date you apply.

Apply only if you have strong Humanitarian Reasons .

Yes after completion of 730 days you can apply for renewal.

Actually I am confused about RO and PR card renew. RO obligation counted based on 1st landing date?
For example, if PR expire 17-Mar-2022 and some one entered on 17-Mar-2021 and continue 730 days. On 17-Mar-2023, he applied PR renewal.
So, will he be charges for Violation of RO during renewal?
Do I need to rely on Humanitarian ground if 730 days meet?

PR status and having a valid PR card are not related. PR card is primarily used as a travel document. You can live in Canada forever as a PR without a valid PR card.

nobody gets charged with RO violation, it is not a crime. What matters is landing date. Your PR card expiry date does not count.

in you example the person would be fine to apply for a new PR card on March 17 2022 as long as they were not reported when entering Canada when they didn’t meet their RO. Would also not renew my PR card until I had at least 750+ days but hopefully closer to 800.

Thank you. Is there any high chance of being reported?
Nobody here can predict the odds of being reported other than speculation although possibly higher if you landed in 2/2017 and do not return until 3/2021.

But odds are possibly less for being reported if you landed in 2/2017 and return in 2/2020 given the latter you still have an opportunity to just about meet the RO through to 2/2022 if you do not leave at all in that time and as above do not apply to renew your PR card until you are back in compliance after 2/2022..

When facing CBSA on entry just answer questions honestly but do not volunteer any extra information above any questions asked as that can just lead to an unecessary discussion.
