There's a lot in there that you're skipping over, but those are essential steps to PR, yes.

First you need to be admitted to a school that can offer the PGWP. So your grades have to be good. You need to get the visa. You need to stay full time for the whole program. The program needs to be long enough to get you a minimum of a one year pgwp - ideally it should be longer.

Then you need to find a skilled job. Be hired. Keep the job for at least a year.

Then your CRS points need to be high enough to be invited to apply for PR. Your employer may not get you an LMIA, so you should not need the 50 points for a job offer.

Then you need to apply for PR and be approved.

Yeah this is the key one. So many people get duped into going to a school that does not offer a path to PGWP.

Just to emphasise that general advice is a 2 year course that then qualifies for a 3 year PGWP given a one year assumes you get a skilled job on day one, not always possible. Also of benefit to get a job classified as NOC 0,A or B.

Only attend a public college given private colleges would not qualify for a PGWP.

So is PR easy , no it is not, it requires a great deal of effort , personal and financial investment over a few years.

No, not that easy. If it was, this forum wouldn't be full of people nearing the end of their PGWPs asking what else they can do to be able to stay because they don't qualify for PR.

You need to really look at the requirements for PR. Have a look at the CRS tool. Minimum scores needed right now are 470+.

Define 'easy.' Based on my experience, I would say the entire process is unpredictable. Only thing that is in your control is to enroll yourself into a good public institution (could be a public-funded college or university) and do well in your studies. This is something that most International students don't do. Only a few get it right and even then, your English or French has to be at least a 10 in CLB scale to get the maximum points for language in Express Entry. With the current trend of 470 and above, an inland applicant needs a minimum of 1 year of skilled work experience, a bachelor's degree and a CLB 9 or 10 score to get an ITA. The fore-mentioned things are definitely not easy to accomplish in Canada. Why? The educational standards are high, so you have to do extremely well to get a degree and the job market is so competitive that finding a full-time skilled job is an achievement in its own right. I came here as an International student and graduated with two academic excellence awards which yielded me a mediocre low-paying job in NOC B. It lasted exactly 6 weeks before the employer sacked me because my supervisor couldn't handle that a recent graduate can actually be good at something. I went unemployed for 4 weeks before getting a 6-month contract opportunity to work for a Managed Service Providers. I had to grind for another 6 months to get good references for my current job (full-time permanent) which pays me decently for my skill sets. I have also scored more than CLB 10 in IELTS and even with it, it might be a touch and go for me when I create an Express Entry profile. So, I would like to conclude that everyone's mileage varies. I consider my experience one of the better ones out there. I still have friends who work menial jobs and are yet to start gaining skilled work experience for Express Entry.
