Job offer from Canadian employer

Hi everyone,

I am in open work permit status in Canada.I have a Full time job offer (NOC A category) Canadian employera I started with them recently.My question is , will I get 50 points for this full time job offer in EE Profile.Myw job offer includes number of hours, pay, roles everything as per the job profile, but no LMIA number on it.

Your advise is much appreciated.

No, valid job offer to get 50 points must be supported by LMIA unless the NOC falls under LMIA exempt....
So most probably you will not get 50 points

As said above, since you are on an open work permit with no employer named, you need an approved LMIA to get the 50 points.

Just been through this myself. You need LMIA. If you have enough time, you may only need the LMIA to sponsor your application. If your visa is about to run out, you’re going to need dual intent, if you wish to stay during the process. It took 6 months, job posting time included, 3 LMIA applications (2 x sponsor, 1 x dual intent.) to get it. The 2 sponsor applications were closed due to missing documents. 3rd one got through fine.
