They can’t. Interference from an MP would likely be reported to the ethics commissioner. An MP has zero influence over an IRCC decision. Intervention from an MP would be illegal.
Hi Buletruck, as you said an MP can't interfere in a H&C case. Then who, or what agency in Canada can interfere to support the genuine applicant who is really need Canada H&C! ? Please help ....Thank you.

I think you need to familiarize yourself on how the IRCC comes to make decisions. And it's not based upon who you know as it's done in some countries.

No one can “interfere”. It’s an unbiased system that works based on merit and the balance of probabilities. IRCC will make there decision based on that, not what someone or some organization tells them they should do.

You should read this:

Thanks Scylla.
It is still unclear what kind of insurance she has but would expect that private insurance plans will likely stop coverage at the end of the policy or once she is stabilized. Then she will not have medical insurance during the H&C process.

My case has been refused on a same day November 08 But they didn't sent e any letter til my Laywer called them and asked about my decision. They told my lawyer about my refusels on prra and h c. Now my lawyer going to challenge those decisions in federal court. And he did it yesterday.
Unfortunately that doesn’t stop a removal. You can be removed while your case is processed. If you are then approved you can return. It seems as though your work permit was approved right before you got the decisions about your H&C or PPRA. It is not a good idea to leave Canada during either H&C or PPRA.

We both had a permit that was valid until we started this application. The doctor from the our home country told us that my daughter should be in Canada and not our home country so that her health doesn't get worse. We didn't have a choice so we decided on staying here. We've lived here for so long so I know it is expensive here. That's exactly why I was wondering how people are doing without working.
Unfortunately what a doctor in your home country considers best is not grounds for H&C. You likely will have to show that no treatment is available in your home country.

Hi,
I want to know, how many months/years will this application take?
I know it says 18-24m on the website but it's been almost 35m with no update for me.
I heard some people got their AIP within 15-17m. Why is it so slow right now?

So many more people are filing for H&C. Many because of refused asylum. Would expect closer to 3 years.

Hi Canuck78, is there any reasonable insurance policy her family can buy to cover for her when she be stabilized? Is this insurance will affect her H&C application? Please help...Thank you.

Unfortunately no insurance policy will cover her at this point since this is a pre-existing condition and an insurance company will not issue a policy where they know they will end up losing money. Once her insurance runs out, all expenses will have to be paid for out of pocket.

Alright Scylla, agree with her family have to be paid for out of pocket. I guess this has no affect to her H&C application right?

Ideally she wants to avoid using any public funded services. This can sometimes impact H&C approval.

If she is just applying for H&C now, it will likely be 2 years before she has access to provincial funded health care which means she / her family will have to fund her care between the time her insurance runs out and the provincial health care kicks in. Depending on what she is receiving, this could get expensive very fast. They may want to research what the costs are to understand what this will mean to them.

it is still unclear whether she is on private insurance or school insurance. If she has withdrawn from school for a long period of time I don’t see how she would still have coverage. Is her treatment not available in her home country at all? You are using words like permanently disabled. Who will care for her? Most H&C cases ask to see how you will support yourself. Her whole family seems to be back home and can care for her.

That’s a lot of time! Have you already requested the GCMS notes or speak with an agent?
35 months and they haven’t started processing your application? What does your lawyer tell you?
