Ugh! I am so frustrated. I went to FedEX they said they can't do it, went to UPS they said they can't do it finally found this link that explains it EXCEPT when I do it from the link it gives it wont let me pay with US money. Did I just get people that don't know what's going on? What should I do? Please help!

I just sent mine with with no issues yesterday (and it was signed for today) using FedEX. Did you make an online account with FedEx?
I was able to do a commercial invoice by in the packaging & shipment detail section:
package contents - documents
document description - immigration papers
Shipment purpose - personal use
Total customs value - $1.00
This then generated a commercial invoice for me. I also clicked 'create a return label' so that it was all done at once.
Thank you! I had to make an account it's working now! Did you sign the commercial invoice and where? I'm afraid my Fedex doesn't understand anything and after them sending me away I don't feel comfortable asking them.

Go with UPS, they got in-house custom clearance. Just create a shipper account and create a return label for getting the passport from Canada to US
Make sure you enter the commercial value as $1.
For US to Canada, you can do it at the store.
Please help me! I want to get this out tomorrow. I did FedEX online already and paid the money but on the paper I printed it says "duties and taxes payable by- exporter is checked" I am not the exporter they are, I put in a dollar where everyone said does that mean THEY have to pay to get this back to me? Did I mess it up? And, where do I sign?

Paid online for what? Just the return label?
If it's return label only, they will charge your card once it's shipped and activated.
Thank you for the quick reply! Do you know if the invoice has to be signed? It doesn't say it in my paperwork or on their site but people here are saying it.
I went with UPS. I just had to print out the label and the store guy gave an envelope for it.
They only asked me to sign the commercial invoice for the package that I sent from US to Canada.
For the Canada to US return label, no invoice or sign and I confirmed with the UPS store guy.
I got my stamped passport already.
At the bottom of the commercial invoice there's a place for you to sign. I had a commercial invoice for my return label as well.
I sent a commercial invoice for them to send back to me and they put it on the outside of the package, I did NOT get a commercial invoice for me to them. Was that a huge mistake, will it just come back?
Hopefully it all went ok. I just received my COPR back. I didn't need to send a passport; just a copy of my passport and the photos. It was a really quick turnaround.
I got my money back and just ordered both labels online this fedex has no idea what they're doing and it made it! Updated yesterday they received my photos etc!
