So after receiving PR Status in 2015 and only residing in Canada for 9 weeks we left due to official notification of a recession and returned to Australia where we became immersed in more degrees and life. Being in a much better head space and prepared for a new challenge we would love to return to live in Canada.

I am about to renounce our PR Status which I have been told can take up to 6 months. We appear to still have same points - maybe more.

My questions:

Would you advise we renounce ourselves or get legal team to work on our behalf?
We previously had state nominated in Alberta - would we be able to apply to move somewhere else.
Is it worth using the same visa company as we did before as they have our details on file.

Thanks

What is your CRS? You need 470+ points right now to get an ITA.

1. You can renounce yourself.

2. Canada has provinces and territories, not states. You would be applying from scratch for PR, so the previous PNP nomination is irrelevant.

3. Your personal choice.
