Possible PGWP Denial

Hello all,

I am seeking advice as I am about to apply for a PGWP since I have graduated from a designated DLI. I am afraid my permit might be denied since I was not a full time student in my first semester in 2015 as I landed in Canada fairly late and was unable to register for my courses prior to that. I have since renewed my study permit 2 or 3 times and they were approved. What can I do moving forward to improve my chances of getting the PGWP and what are my options if I do get denied?

How many days/months were you out of study? Did you notified your school and the reason?

Did you register for any classes in your first semester?

I was registered for 2 courses instead of 3 which left me with a part time status.

How many days/months were you out of study? Did you notified your school and the reason?

I've only been out of study since December 2019 since that was my last semester at school. I've since applied for graduation and received a completion letter from my college a week ago

This will be a problem for you. You should have been full time - or deferred. Part time in your first semester makes you ineligible.
