I am in a dilemma whether to accept Ontario NOI with a CRS 465 or update EE profile with latest IELTS result which shoots my score to 468 and wait for the CRS to drop. Any suggestions?

Why decline PNP?
How is an normal draw better that PNP?

Just asking for my information.

Also, how to get trf number immediately so that i can update my EE profile as it might take 10-15 days to reach our home.

Dear CIC,
If you are reading my post, this draw was devastating. Come on we need higher scores. A CRS of 480 should be the minimum to get an invite to come to Canada. Please no more back to back draws. Thank you
This is like the second time I have seen you post this here. Are you trying hard to seek some attention? The cutoff score is determined by the number of invitations issued each draw. If they were to issue ITAs only for 480 and above when there are less than 2000 candidates with that score in the pool, they can't invite more than 2000 candidates. Right now, they are inviting only the top 3000 odd candidates depending upon the draw size. Besides, not everyone can achieve 480 without PNP. In order for someone to score 470+, they would have to hold at least a bachelor's degree, years of work experience and be proficient in one of the two official languages. To reiterate, the scores are determined by pool size, not by random.

Hi Guys ,

Need your suggestions. Currently waiting at 467 for an ITA. I secured following scores in 6th attempt at IELTS LRWS:9,9,7,7.5 . I have maxed out in all sections except for writing. Would you guys advice me to retake to score CLB 10. Or these are my spouse’s scores LRWS : 8.5,8.5.6.5,7 . If she scores CLB 9 we get additional 2 points. What do you recommend me or my spouse to retake IELTS

That much time, money and efforts for 2 points which isn’t even guaranteed. Check some other ways to boost your score. Probably learn French as a second language and you may have scope for more.

Sit for another IELTS to max out at CLB10. Learning French will take some of your time and also the exam will cost you as much as another IELTS. At 469 you will get better chance throughout the year.

As for who should take the exam depends on your or your wife's ability to score better. Just keep pushing for both of you.

You have a month to decide on Ontario. Start collecting your documents and wait till the last day and then accept the Ontario NOI if you have still not received an ITA by then. Good luck

Can someone at least help with the next draw prediction(Feb 5) as I don’t want to hope on a draw next week?

Thank you
you are definitely receiving an ITA whenever next draw happens, be it Jan 29 or Feb 5.
I know the frustration of a person losing on a tie-breaker rule. You will spend all the time until the next draw reading predictions and all but please understand this is normal.Do not stress yourself.Next draw is for you.

Grab every bit opportunity that you have in your hand. Though there is a high probability that the scores will drop down to 468 soon , I would have accepted the NOI if I were in your place. All the best.

My prediction is 469, but if it is a bigger draw and not 3400 it might be 468. But as always and with any prediction, this is just a guess...

i am at 468 and feeling so bad and hopeless because i will lose 5 points february 13. my only hope is draws at 29 jan and 12 feb

We are in the same boat!! We are at 466 and initially thought this is a great score if you look at 2019 history. We entered 30 Nov 2019 and hubby is main applicant. My birthday is 12 Feb, and his birthday is 19 Feb. So we will lose points 19 Feb on his birthday so we are also hoping for 29 Jan and 12 Feb. If we get ITA on 12 Feb it will be the best birthday present EVER!!!

I chat a person with 490 CRS. The guys got ITAs twice in this Jan but he all rejects ITAs.And waits next draw. What is the points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waste others opportunities.

You should report this to IRCC! This is nonsense and upsets me because so many people are risking all they have to take this chance and then others play with it like a cat with a mouse.

Express entry is now the system focusing on specific occupations. PNPs are added to the pool and CRS are increased. It’s simply saying that we want mostly the people we need. It took my two-three years and I admit that I have been lazy to take actions in time. I just delayed some of them, ending up with 464 in October and 459 in 2019. Why the hell I did not send my second degree to wes last year is the question I am asking myself everyday. Now I have a bigger challenge, to max out the Ielts to reach 470 and hope.
