I work for a telecom company (telecommunication firm as per lead statement) and am part of the technical depart with title of Technical Support Engineer.

• Engineering design, integration, and implementation of core platforms.
• Monitor and forecast platform hardware and software capacity based on KPI trends and marketing forecasts
• Determine appropriate growth points and present design options to support growth needs
• Operational support of SMSC, MMSC, OTA, Voicemail, OSS BSS and AAA
• Write, review and implement Methods of Procedure for maintenance and corrective actions of operational issues
• Create and maintain detailed documentation and network diagrams support platforms
• Create best practice policies and procedures for support of the messaging networks
• Analyze root cause determination of issues including recommendations for improvements
• Interface with cross-functional engineering and marketing teams for new feature and functionality requests
• Engineer and support other systems supported by VAS engineering
• Educate and train other individuals in company regarding VAS platforms
• Manage platform specific capital and operational expense budgets and procurement activities
• Establish and maintain positive vendor relationships to complete any necessary changes to insure existing and new applications function according to specifications
• Establish and maintain positive partnerships with neighboring countries’ mobile operators by prioritizing technical faults, complaints in general, and/or feedback received.
• Travel locally and Internationally to maintain positive relationship with both vendors and mobile operators that are of interest to the company
