You are now out of status in Canada and must apply for Restoration as a student. You must stop studying immediately. You are not allowed to study until you once again have a valid study permit.

If your permit is still valid, you can continue studying. You mentioned that you were told to apply for Restoration. What did the refusal letter say about your status?

Why did you apply for extension? Did you include all the required docs? Seek advice from school immigration advisor.

This letter refers to your application for a study permit.
Based on your application and accompanying documentation that you have provided, I have carefully considered all information and I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations. Your application as requested is therefore refused.
Immigration Legislation requires that an application for a study permit be accompanied by a letter from a university, college or other institution accepting the applicant to attend or to take any course at that institution. The letter should be recently issued and should outline the
 type of course of study or program you are registered for,
 the start date and the expected completion date, and
 whether the program is full-time or part-time studies.
As you have not provided such evidence your application cannot be approved.
[X] We also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expired on January 18, 2020.
You may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status, you submit:
 a completed application form;
 applicable fees for restoration and for the immigration document(s). Payments should be made online at www.cic.gc.ca. When you are finished, you must print the receipt of payment and include it with your application.
 all required documents in support of your application.
Please consult the section “Restoration of status” in the application guide: “Applying to change conditions or extend your stay in Canada”. Restoration applies to each member who has lost his or her status. Please note that there is no guarantee your application will be accepted.
Should you choose not to apply for restoration of your status, you will remain a person without legal Temporary Resident Status and as such will be required to leave Canada immediately. If you do not leave Canada voluntarily, enforcement action may be taken against you.

Did you submit current letter of enrollment from Humber? You should call them, I dont understand why they shortened your permit. Also talk to immigration advisor at humber.

Send an urgent Webform for clarification on your status. The fact that you have a study permit valid to March should overrule what is said in that letter but you need to make sure.
