Undeclared Child Sponsorship

Hi! I need some advice on how to go about sponsoring an undeclared dependent child during PR and Citizenship. The situation is, the Father(main sponsor) had his first child before he got married to his current wife. The child was left in his home country. Before he moved to Canada(2010) he got married and had a new family. He got Permanent Residence with his new family but didn't include his first child due to conflicts with his new family. He then got citizenship just this Dec 2019. After resolving the conflict with the new family, he wants to sponsor his first child, who is now 20 years old, to Canada. The main concerns is will it affect his Citizenship since the first child wasn't declared when he applied for PR and Citizenship?
Thanks for anyone who would be able to give advise or at least any comments on this.

The question is, how did the father get PR? Was he sponsored by his Canadian/PR spouse or did he apply under an economic stream?

How did he get PR?

There is a pilot for undeclared children but it is only open to people to immigrated to Canada in certain ways.

He was from dubai and got PR through LMIA, he was the one who sponsored his wife and kids.

Hi! I also saw that pilot for undeclared dependents but it’s kinda confusing cause its for people who has PR and the father is already a citizen. Also, he was the one who sponsored his new family to Canada through LMIA.

If the father obtained PR through an LMIA, then the pilot for undeclared dependents does not apply to him. He cannot sponsor his undeclared son. The pilot is only for people who immigrated through family class or a refugee claim.

Just to add, it doesn’t make a difference that he is a Canadian citizen now. That doesn’t change the requirement.

Agree with above. Your father doesn't qualify for the pilot program. The child will have to qualify independently to immigrate to Canada.
