Secondary applicant first landing in Canada and PRTD

Hello folks,

Me and my wife have got CoPR. I have three questions:

1) For the first landing: I am travelling from India and my wife is travelling from US. Do we have to board the same flight which lands in Canada? Or different flights land in the same airport (assuming same terminal) with almost same time will work? It may sound stupid but it has some monetary implications. I am not aware at which stage we need to do PR process i.e. whether we can sync up before that (if we are coming from different flights) for the processing.

2) For the second landing: I understand that without PR card, we need to have PRTD to enter for the second time. So, Can secondary applicant travel independently with PRTD? or primary applicant is necessary until we get PR Card for every visit?

3) For the first landing: If primary applicant has already visited canada and PR is in process then Can secondary applicant visit Canada independently of primary applicant OR secondary applicant has to be accompanied by primary applicant in any-case for the first visit?

1. You don't have to travel together to land as PRs. The only requirement is that you land first. You need to be very careful if she is travelling at the same time as you from somewhere else, as her landing may be refused if it cannot yet be confirmed that you have landed.
