Name different on Passport and Graduation certificate.

Hello All,

I am trying to fill up my citizenship forms and I could see the below question:-
5. List all the names that you have used , including name at birth , maiden name , previously married name (s), alias ( es) and nicknames :-

My situation is I have my FIRST NAME , LAST NAME mentioned correctly in all my important documents like passport, birth certificate, PR CARD etc.

However in my graduation certificate my name is truncated to only my first name. I don't have my last name anywhere in my graduation certificate.

Should i declare this in the application or just leave it as it is ?

Since Citizenship application is not asking for any degree or graduation certificates i am tempted to leave it as is. Any thoughts ?

As part of the application you are asked to provide "Photocopy of proof that demonstrates adequate knowledge of English or French".

If you need your degree certificates or graduation certificates to support your proof of English then you will need to supply a copy with the application, this is detailed on the document checklist.

I have taken my IELTS exam and in that certificate my name is correct which I am attaching. It's only my graduation certificate which has only my first name.

Then you will not have an issue if your plan is not to send the Degree & Graduation certificates.

I don't think it's necessary also. Moreover, it ask for details for maiden, alias, nickname. The name on your credential already has your first name. So, you should be good without it, except if you want to explain the issue in a letter to be attached.

Thanks all for your replies. I just applied today..
