Does anyone know this? I have dual nationality, Pakistani and Canadian. After marriage, I had my National Identity Card updated in Pakistan and I decided to take my husband's name as my last name. I sponsored my husband a month later, so does having my(wife) last name different in Pakistan and Canada make any difference to application process for my husband??

Did you put both last names on your application, or just one? I don't think you will face a problem but from here on out, for any paperwork moving forward, I would include both names. You can put your maiden name in brackets. I have done this with government documents and never had a problem.

Hi guys!

I hope that this new week brings a lot of good news on this forum. This is just to update you guys on the status of our application; this morning in GcKey our application was approved and everything completed. There is a new section added with the counterfoil number and expiry date... I believe that my spouse will receive his COPR later this week. I already knew about this as last week I called IRCC and the agent I talked to told me that our application stayed in Mississauga however the visa will be issued from local VO, therefore she had access to the notes because the application was being processed in Canada. She told me that the passport was received on January 7 and the agent in charge started processing in on January 8. The latest update on the notes on her side showed that the application was approved and that everything was ready to be printed on January 9, 2020.

My husband is from DR Congo, after the refusal he moved to South Africa so the local VO changed. When we first applied the local VO was Dakar but now it's Pretoria.
Congratulations again. I meant your timeline was so short and fast. I won ADR in November, and still I haven't heard anything atall. The waiting is killing me. My visa office is Ghana

I just called IRCC. They said my file was received from IAD on the 2nd of December. And it is yet to be transferred first to Missisasuga. Then from mississauga to my VO. This is taking too long. I won my appeal on the 27th of November

Wait, they said it was received from IAD meaning your application can be seen on GCKey as in being processed right? They might not send it back to local VO... stay positive!

Well I haven't seen any updates on gckey yet. The IRCC lady said they are yet to send to mississauga office. So likely my file will stay in Canada. But I haven't seen any updates on gckey yet
