Temporary work visa for EE Applicants?

If we are in the Express Entry stream for skilled workers, is it possible to get a temporary work visa to stay in the country while we are waiting for the ITA or after the ITA?

There is no work permit granted to EE applicants in this situation.

You would have to qualify for a closed work permit. This requires a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer has to get an approved LMIA.

Bridging Open Work Permits are available if you meet all of the below criteria:

- You are in Canada
- You already hold a valid work permit
- You have received ITA through Express Entry, have submitted your complete application and received AOR

It's the confirmation IRCC sends you that they have received your application once you have received ITA (i.e. been selected out of the Express Entry pool) and have submitted your complete PR application.
