7. Proof of funds:
a. Minimum amount of funds to be shown is mentioned in this page: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html
b. The funds can be shown only as funds in savings/chequing account and term deposits.
c. These funds should be in your name for at least 6 months, so show at least 6 months of bank account statements for savings/chequing account.
d. The funds should be in your name.
e. Mutual funds, shares, PF, property or jewelry valuation certificates are not accepted to make up for the funds indicated in point 7a. They can only be used to enhance your application.
f. All statements should have a sign and stamp from the bank.
8. Purpose of travel:
a. This should have a signed letter from the applicant stating the reason for travel, detailed itinerary, accommodation details, details on how you will fund this trip.
b. The letter should explicitly say that you (applicant) promise to leave at the end of your temporary stay and promise to obey all rules, regulations and laws of Canada during your temporary stay.

d. You can use docusign to sign this letter. But first combine documents from point 8a and 8c together as a single file using Adobe Acrobat and then upload this combined single file in docusign for signing.
9. Invitation letter:
a. This is required if purpose of visit is mentioned as to meet a relative in the application.
b. This should be a signed letter from your relative in Canada that states the same purpose of travel, detailed itinerary, accommodation details, details on how applicant will fund this trip as mentioned in point 8a.
c. The letter should explicitly say that the relative in Canada promises that the applicant will leave at the end of the applicant’s temporary stay and promise that they will ensure that the applicant will obey all rules, regulations and laws of Canada during the applicant’s temporary stay.
d. Return tickets with dates matching the start and end date mentioned in your letter from point 8a.
e. PR card or Canadian passport of the relative in Canada.
f. The relative in Canada can use docusign to sign this letter. But first combine documents from point 9a, 9d and 9e together as a single file using Adobe Acrobat and then upload this combined single file in docusign for signing.
10. Additional document in the optional document section:
a. Each applicant gets a chance to upload an additional document in their application and this document can be anything.
b. Use this document to prove strong ties to your home country due to which you will be compelled to return to your home country at the end of your temporary short stay.
c. I would suggest that you mention in a notarized affidavit that you have the following reasons for going back to your home country:
i. Job:
· Attach letter of employment (preferably that states that you currently employed with company and that your company has no objection for your leave during the Canada visit)
· Attach pay slips
ii. Family:
· State reason why this family in home country is more important than your relative in Canada and in life in general
· Attach document like passport, marriage certificate, birth certificate that proves the existence of family in home country
iii. Assets:
· State that you have xyz immovable and pqr liquid assets in home country that you can manage only by being physically present in your home country.
· Attach valuation report of immovable assets like property, flat, plots, etc.
· Attach statement of movable assets like shares, mutual funds, cash in bank account, fixed deposit, provident fund, valuation report of jewelry
iv. Other reasons:
· There can be other compelling reasons and you can attach documents to prove these reasons.
· Some of them can be: business, scheduled medical treatment, marriage in immediate family in home country.
Notes:
A. This document is prepared only for sharing the author’s experience in successfully getting TRV for his widowed mother after getting refused in the 1st try.
