Well I got a mail from Job Bank that a recruiter wants me to apply for a job. Still in very initial stage but I did applied hoping for the best. The job back profile when I created was with the same Job Seeker Validation code and EE Profile as this one. So I don't want to change the profile as of now.

The only thing is , is there any chance even after me changing the email address in both the profile and EE communication sections the mails going to the consultants ?

Also the first mail which is the Welcome to Express Entry mail , has their email id mentioned is that a concern ?

* I meant the first letter which is the Welcome to Express Entry mail , has their email id mentioned is that a concern ?
The recruiter messages are pretty generic. I used to get plenty of them, it's not a big step forward.

Understanding that, I would recommend you delete your express entry profile, revoke your GCKey and make a fresh account with a new GCKey. If after AoR your profile ever gets reviewed, you might face a 5 year ban from applying. Too many fingerprints on your account.

Thanks Ryan for the advice. But even if it gets reviewed, it has all the correct details. Do you know on what basis they usually ban from applying ?

True, I'm just the kind of guy that wouldn't take any risks for such an important application when it takes a couple of hours to correct it.

Again, I wouldn't be comfortable with reps having my details either. Just leaves a lot hanging over your head.

Make sense. It's such an easy thing to make the profile. How foolish of me to give them money and doing all these stuffs all over again. I do repent my decision.

Thanks for your expert advice Ryan. Can you suggest which PNPs I should apply for on the side. My Job code is 2173 (10+ years) and 0213(~9 months). As you told the "The recruiter messages are pretty generic", may be PNP is a good option for me.

IELTS was good , but not much CRS score due to age factor.

Also another thing can I lodge a compliant against these representative in the IRCC for lying and misguiding me , it that effective ?

Your best option will be PNP, and increasing your IELTS score. Software engineers are in demand always, Google your options.

Get at least 7.5 instead of 7 for a boost. Also, try CELPIP. My score was shit in writing because of my handwriting. Never could get above 7 in writing. CELPIP is computer based.

I got 8 in IELTS , L-9, R-8.5, S-7, W-7 and WES credentials done , which is equivalent to 4 years of Canadian Bachelors degree. Still my score is 392 may be due to age as I am 34+

I will try to do 7.5 , let's see how that goes. PNP seems to be the best option for me.

Dear Experts,

Hope you are having a great day. I am in dire need for your advice. I am a middled aged IT professional , looking to migrate to Canada with my family. I have paid a representative for the same (which I think is a mistake). It has always been a headache to deal with them once I made the initial payment.

Anyhow, after I got my IELTS result , L-9, R-8.5, S-7, W-7 and WES credentials done , which is equivalent to 4 years of Canadian Bachelors degree. I have given all the docs to the representative. He created the profile and communicated to me the EE number and the JOB Seeker validation code. I asked them for my GC key and password which they denied saying "I regret to inform you that the EE login credentials can not be shared as it consists of all our client's details in a dashboard and we do not have individual credentials of our clients.". This was not a part of the legal agreement that I will not get access to my data , I followed up with them and and told them as I haven't signed up for it and my data is my right. I told them that I will go to IRCC with their lawyers RCC number , they finally gave me the credentials.

I saw they did some basic mistakes in my profile. Also in the Representative section they have said No.

Anyway now I am a bit worried to deal with them , as they have communicated wrong information to me and done mistakes in my profile. I changed the password and the secret question's answers for the profile.

Now they are asking for my profile details to represent me in IRCC. I am a bit worried to share the details to them due to obvious reasons.

I am worried that at this time , is my profile anyway linked to their profile and can they manipulate it? Also did they created my profile from their Authorized Representative Portal as they said ? When I login via the GC key which is my surname appended with some characters (denoting the definitely they don't use the key for everyone else) , I don't see any other profile.

Can you please Help with your expert views.

Regards!
Abhi

Not sure where you are getting the information from. When you engage a services of a lawyer licensed with any of the Provincial Law Societies in Canada or a Consultant licensed with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, they do not create individual GC keys for each application. These professionals have one log in through which they file multiple applications and keep a track of it.

They log in from this link - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/partners-service-providers/authorized-paid-representatives-portal.html.

No one will provide you with log in credentials of their account and they are right that cannot share the credentials. No one has stolen your data. You paid for a service, and your application will be filed as per the existing regulations and procedures. You cannot dictate that a licensed professional make a separate GC key for you and share it with you when that is not how it works. Neither does any agreement mention this. It is a contract for service, as simple as that.

If you are not satisfied with your representative, you can create your own GC key and request IRCC to move your profile to your GC account.

You can use IMM 5476 from to remove a representative from your application.

Not sure which country you are from. In many countries there are these agencies who have a working relationship with ICCRC consultants and they take cases in the name of these consultants. Instead of the consultant actually dealing with the case, these agencies file the cases themselves and pocket the entire money without the consultant ever knowing that a case was taken on his name.

If you have never spoken or met with the consultant who is representing you, you may have been taken for a ride.

So before you sign up, do your due diligence.

Thanks legalfalcon. The problem is my contract with them didn't stated that I will not get access to my data.

Anyhow, they mentioned , "I regret to inform you that the EE login credentials can not be shared as it consists of all our client's details in a dashboard and we do not have individual credentials of our clients.". - on the same line with your statement.

But then on pushing them, they have provided me my individual GC key.

It is that they have have created an individual account for me? Or when they create the profiles via Representative portal they get GC keys for that individual profile also ? Any idea?

This is helpful information. Thanks!
I have created my own GC key. At later point engaged Rep, they are asking for my credentials (doesn't seem right). But Rep is registered with IRCC.
Any idea what this portal where they log in to access other applications is called or how can my profile be linked (IRCC does that)?

EDIT: Got some info, it is called APR portal, will ask my rep to follow this instead. Thanks!

I can't answer that. They may have moved your application to a new GC key they created, or may have filed your application under a separate gc key to begin with.

In your EE profile, if you're changing the email ID and update it, you'll get all your updates on your new email ID.

Hi there,

Where is your representative's office location? Please share more info about you representative, how did you find them? Did you sign any contract with them? Any info would be helpful to fully answer. You can send DM from your private message center.
