no it was under non sds back in june
i dont quite know what was wrong but i definitely needed a stonger SOP and show proof of my sponsors financial capability

it really does not matter it can take 1 day or it can take 20 because the updates arent timely the only real updates you should concern yourself with are messages that you get in your account about additional docs or something none of the other updates actually reflect what stage your application is at

No need to be panic. Assuming you just applied right? Once you get your UCI number and Application number go to below link and send a webform. Attach your study plan / statement of purpose. Make sure you explain in the body of the webform that you initially didn't submit SOP as it was not a part of document checklist however, decided to send it through webform and request them to add it in to your application for an officer to review.

Below is the link of Study permit checklist specially for Pakistani applicants. Go to this link and on page 6 you will find "Annex A - Study Plan". Follow the instruction and write your brief SOP. Hope this helps.

The easiest bank I found for GIC is MCB.. yes you need a FCY account to remit the amount but they don't have any hidden charges or taxes .. I remit 10400 CAD and all money reached to scotia bank safely within 3 business days and 90$ additional for intermediary bank

@omairs how much time does it takes to open a foreign currency account. I talked to a guy in MCB and he told me that it might be done with normal account but it will take alot of time

I just wrote a letter of explanation in which I simply mentioned that I will return back at the end of studies.

Have confusion, do we have to give letter of explanation to the university or to the visa authority when applying for the visa?

Most likely your visa will be rejected as it's hard to prove ties. I would suggest following if you are not in hurry

• Go for masters it will increase your chances
• Show income tax return (tax certificate) if you managed to prove that you have handsome income here to live a decent life.

Sorry I doesn't mean to let you down. My wife also going to apply for masters. I am on same boat with 3 years old son.

I have got admission in university of Regina. I have applied on 5th october under general category. And I was asked to give fingerprins. But they did not collect my passport. My question is when will they give response of my visa application under general category?

@omairs how much time does it takes to open a foreign currency account. I talked to a guy in MCB and he told me that it might be done with normal account but it will take alot of time

well it took me two business days to open and get the details of my account like account number and all.. I have also heard it but when i tried to send money thru PKR account everyone refused.. i tried meezan and SCB and got info from other banks

I sent thru DIB pak and they did it just by my normal account tho it took around a week to set up my Pakistani account. Transfer of funds and all took just 3 Days till confirmation.

my college is not giving me any extension for registration. today is the last day for registration by EOD and even if i would get the study permit by next week there is no point.

yes deferral/refund options are there but next semester is in September 2020

That’s what my problem is.. I will also contact my supervisor today and ask her about deferral. Mine also I think will be in September only for Canadian citizens is in May. This 20 days saying is a total fraud. What’s your decision what will you do ?
